Public Law – Urban Planning and Environmental Law

The curriculum aims to provide specialized training for young scholars who wish to refine their research skills across the various fields of public law.
In particular, it pursues an in-depth examination of the main methodological approaches and fundamental conceptsdeveloped by administrative law and constitutional law, adopting an interdisciplinary perspective that also takes into account the most recent developments of the national legal system, shaped by processes of supranational integrationand globalization.
Special attention is also devoted to the transformations affecting public authorities and public–private relations as a result of the profound changes brought about by the emergence of new technologies.
Accordingly, the curriculum places at the core of its educational objectives a rethinking of the systematics of public law, as elaborated by legal scholarship over more than a century, in light of the transformations induced by the scenario described above.
